About

I am a community organizer taking time out of the field to reflect, learn and grow at while pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree at Duke Divinity School. This blog is a place to clarify thought and ideally be in conversation with organizers and leaders living out the question: how do we love and power well? Drawing on Dr. King’s notion that:  “Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic.” I aim to explore the dimensions of love as a public virtue and of power as constitutive for redemption. I also wrestle with the typical questions of how to be both mother and public person, student and organizer, thinker and do-er.

Please reflect with me,  weigh in on the conversation and agitate!
